All of the change, all at once- all of the effort without the result feels to be the same as a dream, vanishing with the first steps into the New Day. In truth, the sprout is just now coming to realize the nature of day- the rising and the falling of the Sun; the coming and the going of the breeze; the varied forms of the clouds, bugs, animals, other plants; the varied intensities of the sounds, of the weather- the rising and the falling.
Just as Eight signifies the relationship with materiality, and as consequence the relationship with physical senses- Eighteen signifies the emerging relationship with thought as it interfaces with the external environment, thus influencing the internal environment.
The birth of the Twin Nature, in full artisanal display: the rooted existence that was everything continues to be a fundamental element of the experience- grounded into the density, darkness, still yet subtle pulse- while the emergence of overwhelming stimulation and information captivates, claiming all focus and attention.
The proud new sprout begins to upright, begins to expand its adolescent bud to put forth its new leaves- communication commences. Sol, the Sun, translates his light into a sweetness of nourishment by means of photosynthesis. As all of the new living and breathing aspects of the surfaced reality begin to reveal their nature, the sprout comes to understand its own nature by means of contrast. “I see what I am by what I am not” is the first step towards distinguishment; how do I come to assume my own nature by merit of what surrounds me? Were these things curated and cultivated- or were they conditioned? Confinement is easy to recognize when it is according to the physical nature- can the same be said of the mental nature by means of thought homogeneity?
