17. The Mind and Message
What else exists beyond what is believed to be everything? The Sky must then be the next limit. Beautifully innocent, wildly ignorant.

Seventeen signifies the emergence of clarity, a new relation to thought altogether. As the seedling emerged from the seed, coming to realize what was protecting it was- in time- confining it (7. Seeing Survival, Rising Above It), the emerging sprout now feels clarity of self beyond doubt.
Emerging into the light of day, opening the sprout’s head to receive the nourishment from the Sun, feeling- for the first time- the unburdened sense of being entirely encapsulated (while also maintaining the security through the roots), the sprout is experiencing ecstasy in fullness of form. Never having experiences these layers of feelings all harmonizing into one, how could it ever have dreamed it was possible? Something so unimaginable related to what was its experience up to this point, it leads the sprout to thought itself! What else exists beyond what is believed to be everything? The sprout sees the Sun, feels the Sun, is growing towards the Sun- in this then, the sky must be the next limit. Transformation upon transformation up to this point- who knows? Maybe another transformation is just an existential dilemma away from being realized.
The Sun is one thing, the messages from the Sun are another- they are not the same. The way that these messages are received and then interpreted are an entirely separate thing altogether. Regardless of how much there is a fixation on the message, the message will never transform the sprout into the Sun; regardless how much the sprout desires to be transformed into the Sun, the desire will never transform the sprout into the Sun. The origin of the Sun is similar in some poetic representation to that of the seed-now-sprout, but they are of wildly distinct natures (as was explored in 16. The Breath of the Fool). We know this, but the sprout- in its beautifully innocent and wildly ignorant mind- does not know this.
Due to the reception of the Sun’s message and ability to convert light into nourishment, it is by extension that the sprout must share some qualities intrinsic to the Nature of the Sun. In a similar way was this explored through the nature of the seed in relation to the Nature of the Earth. The ecstasy through this current phase now being summed up as “Seventeen signifies the emergence of clarity, a new relation to thought altogether:” the initial spark which has maintained the Will to Live through the seed and the seedling has now emerged to recognize itself in the Sun. Could the moment that the wild imagination is set free from the confines that protected its own development, drunken by the sense of release and the new relation to the Sun, be the same moment that Sorrow is sown into its heart- a new seed- which bears the fruit of wisdom through the arduous process of self-acceptance of self-nature, uniquely distinct from the Mother and the Father, yet of their intrinsic natures? Ah, the Sorrowful Mysteries….
