1c. The Creative Hypothesis (Part 3)
Self-Confirming Constriction! The Religion of Rationalized Fears
Following in the thought from part 2, this knot represents a sacrificial breakthrough, crossing the “Glass Ceiling of the Mind.” Endlessly, on and on, life is seen to be a school- a fractal school, a school within and among schools- and some schools themselves exist to challenge the preconceived idea as to what “school” means. Until these schools are not only recognized but passed through, the mind is limited within a mundane framework- and it is within this framework itself that it confines itself. For example, the structured narratives surrounding the aging process: all of the sickness reflected in the older generation, the pains within love and relationships, the forced aspiration to pursue a career that must stay fixed, the need to invest considerable time and energy into understanding a tax system purposefully convoluted to then need a professional to guide you through it. A priest within its own dogma: nobody agrees with it, nobody understands why it is the way that it is- but it is the way that it is, so this is what a healthy grownup needs to do in order to be a responsible citizen.
There are many examples which could be dissected in this way, and likely will come to be acknowledged over the course of this year’s series of writings. But for now, the aim is to call attention to a meta-pattern. This meta-pattern is indoctrination, and the indoctrination within this sociocultural framework is such that an individual must ensure an unbroken attention upon a system- or else this system will collapse upon the individual and all dependents of the individual. This is a belief that is structured in such a way to claim the voice, “rationalism.” The fixation becomes on a mental-construct of checks-and-balances in which all potential outcomes are ran through the mental machine, and in this way the imagination becomes co-opted and celebrated in the Religion of Rationalized Fear and Paranoia. Consequently, this framework is structured in such a way that it constricts its own growth and inhibits new opportunities to be ventured through the analytics of risk assessment. Thus, new opportunities that are ventured do not press into the unknown but rather stay within the established grooves of predictability. For example, going on an exotic vacation to a conglomerate resort and staying within the limited parameters of what is outlined as appropriate for tourists without interacting with the community or society “beyond the veil.”
It becomes clear in this way how the same patterns are reinforced to be reality, and then anything outside of that reality must be a perversion to be avoided- lest one be perverted. The good sheep, staying predictable and stable within the flock formula. In this system, the shepherd does not sustain and contain his flock out of genuine love for the sheep, but rather for the economy intrinsic the sheep. The wool, the meat; a wolf threatens the fiscal value, and its ability to corrupt is not measured by the intrinsic value of the beauty in sentience but rather market potential.
But, if an individual is capable of pattern-recognition to see the framework which is slowly constricting individuality, an effort is taken to challenge the notion of perversion. And on this note, I will open further with the next layer to unfold tomorrow.
